Every boy has someone who knows where he is holding
Guidance at YMC is not a department a boy visits when something goes wrong. It is regular, scheduled and part of how he plans the years after high school.
Regular check-ins
Each boy sits with guidance staff through the year to review how his learning and his classes are going.
Placement and course planning
Track placement, honors courses and credits are planned with the boy and his parents, not decided over his head.
After high school
Beis medrash, college and vocational paths are discussed well before senior year, with applications supported by the office.
Working with parents
Parents hear from us before there is a problem. Contact with the office is direct and expected.

Parents are welcome to call the office and set up a meeting at any point in the year.
